New Moon in Libra 10* and Solar Annular Eclipse

Working with individual Will and Universal Source energy in a way that's sustainable

With the Annular Solar Eclipse in Libra happening today, I’m looking closely into the things I uphold through sheer will. 

Solar energy is connected to our Solar plexus chakra where willpower is activated. But individual willpower can only be sustained for so long.

Individual willpower comes from the energy we’ve stored in our bodies’ energy fields and is controlled by our human mind. We often use our will to PUSH things into existence.

We all start the day with a set amount of personal willpower.

Hour by hour we chip away at it depending on the things we focus on. Things like having to sit in on a meeting or class that bores us or getting stuck in traffic for a long time use up our allotment of will power quickly. 

Basically anything we have to pay attention to that we don’t enjoy will deplete us, so that by the later hours of the day, our patience and will power is gone. This is why diets, or avoiding ‘bad’ foods, is so challenging in the evening hours. We have no more will power at our disposal.

Of course, we can train ourselves to have more will power over time, but what we’re really doing is stealing energy reserves from our bodies and organs. Eventually, we have no more life force energy to sustain us. We become exhausted and sometimes even succumb to illness.

With today’s Libra reset, we’re looking at where in our lives we’ve been operating from our smaller personal battery pack and how we could instead be plugging into Universal Source energy to fuel our lives. 

Higher Perspective Libra asks us to seek balance and harmony in all areas.

So much of what we uphold is through using our life force energy ineffectively, thinking we’re our only source of fuel, that we alone must create everything through our own force of will.

The truth is, there’s an unlimited supply of Universal Source energy available to every living being. 

We’re being asked to unplug from the belief that our personal battery pack is all there is and plug into the loving force that knows our life’s greatest becoming if only we would relinquish our false sense of power.

Acting from Source energy feels easy and requires very little thought. Source energy fuels our right actions in ways that feel effortless and truly resonant. 

How good would it feel to jump into the flow of Universal energy and be swept along to a better circumstance, no frantic paddling necessary? 

This happens through the right use of our emotions. 

As you practice letting go of your death grip on the illusion of control, you learn what it feels like in your body to be ‘plugged in’, and likewise, when you’re not and draining your personal battery pack needlessly.

From this plugged in place, you take the next right step.

Today’s new Moon and Solar eclipse is conjunct Mercury and squaring Mars in Cancer. 

THIS IS THE MOON CYCLE WHERE WE BEGIN THIS WORK IN EARNEST.

Mars will be in Cancer for an extra-ordinary amount of time, almost 6 months due to its retrograde cycle, and for a very good reason: Mars in Cancer will be teaching us how to use our emotions as a navigation system, how to act when it feels right, because those are the feelings that come from a higher power grid.

When we work with emotions from a higher perspective, we understand how they’re a tool to be used to our advantage, not something to be stuffed and hidden. We take our cues and then release the emotions once integrated through actions.

Just like we release the images outside our car window as we drive down the highway, we can release our emotions once they’ve pointed out the next turn on the road of our life. 

This is the trick: to not hold onto an emotional marker once it’s served its purpose, because this also draws on our personal energy bank.

Many times we let guilt, shame, anger or obligation hold us in a pattern that requires sheer emotional will power to maintain (and this is exhausting!!).

These all need to go now that we’re coming to the end of our time with the Aries/Libra collective nodal axis in January. Today is the last Libra eclipse until 2033 and a moment of stepping up, once again, into our mastery.

With Mercury sitting next to our lovely new Moon this month, pay attention to new ideas or incoming messages that can help you sort out where you can let go and flow. 

Sometimes these nudges will be loud and in our face around an eclipse, but sometimes it will trickle in quietly over the next few months. 

Quite a few astrologers I follow and respect have described eclipses as moments that conceal instead of reveal. This has not been my experience at all. Major truths have been exposed to me during eclipse portals. Truths that were not emotionally easy to realize and required action on my part to move into more self autonomy and freedom. 

Remember that while the light is out, things (life!) are rearranging themselves into a new perspective for our greatest benefit. 

For people who want to remain unconscious, it’s easy to look the other way when the light comes back on. But we all know denial only serves to prolong the suffering.

So I say, open your eyes…really own it, even if it’s inconvenient. 

When the Solar power goes out, we get a chance to start fresh, to draw from a new power grid. 

I hope you take this opportunity to plug into a higher, cleaner source of energy while unplugging everything that sucks the life right out of you.
