I had the first of three passes of my Saturn return this past week, my second Saturn return. The one that launches you into the last third of your life. It’s a fairly sobering moment being Saturn and all…
If I use the Placidus house system, the return fell in my fourth house of family and home. If I use the Whole Sign house system, it fell in my 6th house of daily work and health.
I mostly use Placidus because my natal placement of Saturn is in my 4th house. It’s been obvious to me my whole life that the container of family and home was where I’d do most of my work (Saturn) in this lifetime, from my birth family to my created family with husband and five kids.
So, I was surprised when on the exact day of my Saturn return, I received information during a doctor’s appointment (appointment date set up by the doctor, not me) that I have some somewhat serious health issues that need my attention. Attention that will require discipline, lifestyle changes and daily commitment. This is classic Saturn in the 6th house, so I guess I’m using Whole Sign for my second Saturn return.
I’m talking a lot about Saturn at this new Moon because he just made a momentous move into Aries on the 24th, one that resets how we each individually ‘do’ Saturn.
What in your life is showing up that needs your focused attention to shift?
This new Moon is also in a minor triangle with Saturn at the apex and Pluto at the other corner. Important things have been under the radar in our own personal lives that will start to come to light as we move through this lunar cycle.
I expect the full Moon to be quite illuminating when it comes to our personal power and what’s required to own it.
We also have the light building in intensity as we move toward the Summer Solstice on June 20th. We’re drinking from the fire hose of light quotient and our bodies are doing their best to integrate. Remember, light carries information helping us to elevate our consciousness.

During Gemini season, it’s exciting to begin asking more questions and to try looking at life from new perspectives.
Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is sitting next to this new Moon, so we know our mind will be pivotal in how we navigate this time and all the changes we’re experiencing.
When something feels hard, we can ask ourselves; What’s the gift in this situation? What is this asking me to change in order to make space for something new and better?
How will these changes set me up for an experience of my own integrated power?
Many times we try to avoid the more intense and immersive work by distracting ourselves with the superficial experience. This is one of the lower frequencies of Gemini energy.
In this lunar cycle, can you gently and lovingly be present with the deeper questions being asked of you? This requires curiosity, ongoing presence, commitment, and discipline.
And the results will be well worth the effort, I promise.

For me, this new stage requires I give up sugar and too many carbs (once and for all!). I’ve been so tempted now that we live in the PNW because of all the amazing gluten-free bakeries here. (Hello, Petunia’s in Portland!)
I’ll have to be creative about finding other things to satisfy my cravings for sweetness in my life, things that don’t deplete my body.
The truth is, I knew better but I gave in to the temporary satisfactions rather than focusing on the long term goals.
Saturn in Aries is coming for each of us in this way.
May you work with the energy this month rather than against it.
All the blessings, Kimberly xo
Always love your musings, Kimberly. Hoping that this Saturn return brings clarity and vision to whatever is challenging you! ;)))
