The year of the Hermit

As I begin this new year, I’m reflecting on the energy of number nine (2+0+2+5=9) and the corresponding tarot card, the Hermit, which is also associated with the astrological sign of Virgo.

Nine represents culminations; situations, people, ideas we’re done with. Why? Because we’ve had enough.

Nine carries the vibration of all the other numbers. This translates to great wisdom and empathy. We can no longer not know what we know. The idea of truth, and all it’s implications, will be a common theme.

This is a year for each of us to gather and share wisdom, a year of quality over quantity.

Distillation comes to mind, as well as, discernment.

It’s a year of grounding into yourself. Virgo is Earth energy, but also a mutable sign, so it’s about moving into a new way to be with yourself.

It’s a time of taking what’s worked from the past and growing that into something more meaningful and personal.

In essence, it’s about becoming more you than you’ve ever been.

And to do that, you must listen more closely to your intuition and Soul whispers.

The hermit spends time alone often, to reflect and recalibrate. This is not a year to plow through willy-nilly.

If something is niggling in the back of your mind, let it come forward, trust your hunches.

And then, take action.

Once Neptune and Saturn turn the page into Aries energy in March and May, respectively, it’ll be time to take your new bike for a ride.

Leave your training wheels on, though, because both planets will retrograde back into Pisces before the year is over.

We’re practicing for a whole new way of being that won’t fully make itself known until 2026.
