“Let’em laugh while they can.
Let’em spin, let’em scatter in the wind.
I have been to the movies. I’ve seen how it ends.
And the jokes on them.”
- Brandi Carlile, The Joke
One of the benefits of being an astrologer is that I have a sneak preview into the years ahead. That and I channel loving and benevolent spirits who have a higher vantage point than me. I have every reason to be optimistic.
A big part of our journey here on this beautiful blue ball is working on our dance with fear. The powers that have been in charge for millennia have been quite masterful at weaving stories to keep us in fear. Why do this? Because scared people fall in line. Scared people can be manipulated. Scared people don’t tap into their own power because they’re too busy thinking about surviving in this ‘cruel’ world.
For some of us, the world is cruel. I have no illusions about that. But for many of us, others’ stories of a cruel life become our own reality. Even when we’re not personally experiencing cruelty in our life, we take it on, thinking we’re doing the disadvantaged a great service, walking in their pain beside them.
Let me ask this question, though. If everyone’s busy walking in pain, who’s left to get us out of this mess?
Who’s still able to see a path to freedom, happiness and unity?
The real work of those not personally experiencing deep oppression is to keep the channels of hope open, balancing the oppression with Peace.
Is it challenging to feel good when you know your brothers and sisters are suffering? Hell yes!
And….how can I be a conduit for change if I’m so busy focusing on all that’s wrong?
My greatest work at this time is to live AS IF we are already free. My greatest service is to hold the vision of peace and create peace within myself, and then everywhere I go, with everything I do, sharing kind words, loving up everyone I can.
In doing this, I AM free. I AM peace. I AM love.
Can you imagine what is happening as more and more of us live this way? Eventually, the energetic shift will be so strong that the energy of hate can no longer be here. We will swallow it up.
It takes courage to stop wringing your hands.
It takes courage to believe we’re all going somewhere good.
It takes courage to build as if the future is fabulous and you can’t wait to get there.
Belief is a powerful ignition switch.
Where inside of you can you find the strength to believe in a better story?
I see evidence of a great new world every single day. Mostly because I’m looking for it and intentionally live into it.
But also because it’s there, right under the surface, just waiting to bust through the mantle of dirt sitting on top of it.
I see the future and it’s brilliant.
